Synopsis

On June 24, 1991, Ghislaine Marchal was found dead in the basement of her villa in Mougins. Letters of blood read: "Omar killed me." A few days later, Omar Raddad, her gardener, is imprisoned at the prison in Grasse. He speaks little, misunderstood French, has a reputation for being quiet and serious. Therefore, it is clear the guilty. He will not leave until 7 years later; he is pardoned but still guilty in the eyes of justice. In 1994, disgusted by the verdict, writer Pierre-Emmanuel Vaugrenard believes in the innocence of Omar and conducts his own investigation while writing a book about the case.
