Synopsis

Fifteen-year-old Mia Williams is at war with the world. She's been kicked out of school and spends her days drinking and dancing to hip-hop tunes in an abandoned apartment. Music feels like Mia's only escape from fueding with her sister and scornful mother, Joanne. Tensions between the women begin to soften, though, with the arrival of Connor (Michael Fassbender), Joanne's kind-hearted boyfriend. Connor takes an interest in the girls—especially Mia, who can't help but return his affection. Under his guidance, Mia begins to blossom. But could their relationship go too far?
